Hello, my name is Alecia Craig, and I am applying for a job in web development. I just graduated from Central Oregon Community College with my AAS and CC1 in CIS. I love working with computers and the next step for me is getting a job in this field. I am one of the owners of a small business here in Bend. My shop is called Modern Games. I run this shop with 3 other people. My spouse Gabriel, and our good friends Lindsay and Peter. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the last 11 years raising my bright son who shares my passion for technology. In those 11 years that I have stayed home I have also helped grow two other families. I was a surrogate for two different couples. My first family I helped lives over in London. I was able to help them have a daughter who is now 8 years old and a son who is 6 years old. The other family I helped live over in Seattle and I gave them their son who is 4 years old and daughter who is 2 years old.
Growing up in small town Culver, OR I was always the first kid on the block to have the newest technology. My dad is the one who helped me grow my love of computers. We had our first home computer when I was 4 years old. I was always playing on it and had very advanced computer knowledge for my age. When our school finally introduced the use of computers I had quite the advantage over the other kids.
My father showed me everything he knew about computers. We would take them apart and fix them again so we could see what parts did what and how they affected the use of the computer. I have since used that knowledge to help my son build his first gaming PC this last year.
